Dr. Ackerley grew up in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, after moving there from Timberlea at a young age. He graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro in 2005 before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Atlantic Veterinary College in 2009. With 17 years of experience in the veterinary field, he has spent his career caring for small animals throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. He has a special interest in dentistry and preventative medicine and is passionate about helping pets stay happy and healthy for years to come! When he’s not at the hospital, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsay, and their two children. He loves being outdoors, whether he’s gardening, working in his greenhouse, or making memories while travelling with his family!
