Dr. Yazer earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University in 1995, and then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to train as a Wilderness Advanced Care Paramedic. After working in human emergency medicine, Joey returned to school, graduating from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2004. He then completed an internship in Small Animal Surgery & Internal Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Yazer is a passionate teacher and loves to educate his clients about their pets' health, and making informed care decisions as a team. His special interests include animal behaviour, and stem cell therapy.
