Corrie grew up in Halifax with a lifelong passion for animals and biology. She was always surrounded by pets, especially multiple cats and dogs, specifically German Shepherds, which helped shape her love for veterinary care.
After studying biology at Dalhousie, Corrie began her career as a Veterinary Assistant in 2015 and quickly fell in love with the field. She has a strong interest in surgery, laboratory work, and infection control. Corrie has experience in both emergency and specialty surgery, but still never tires of meeting new puppies and kittens!
She is currently working toward becoming a Veterinary Technician and is a recipient of VetStrategy’s scholarship for the Penn Foster program!
Outside of work, Corrie enjoys hiking and spending time in nature or at the beach near her home in Eastern Passage with her daughter, Aurora, her dog, Gabi, and her three cats. She also enjoys time with her boyfriend, who is currently enrolled in the DVM program at AVC.
